What is all the fuss about?

According to Apple, the iPad is a touch-screen tablet that’s created to fill the void between the iPhone and the MacBook. Early rumors suggested that the screen would be OLED but the final unit comes with LCD. It has In-Plane Switching or IPS to improve on the color reproduction and viewing angle.

With just a few tweaks to the word recognition and auto-correction features of the iPhone software, typing on this virtual keyboard, I suspect, could be almost as fast as using a real one. Plus, I believe that voice dictation apps could come quickly to the iPad, just as they have to the iPhone.

In a nutshell

The methods used are what I can call devious.  At least for me, I have never heard of such methods.  Basically, there are certain marketing companies who manages to win the rights to help large companies do their marketing campaigns.  And using part of the budget for the campaign, these companies will use the money to buy you gifts.  The gifts will be to build awareness to the brand or to collect data from you.  So, it is up to us to locate such companies, turn this situation into our advantage and get these gadgets for free.

There are 2 parts to the book.

First Portion Contents

The first portion is basically the same as other books.  It explans why such situation happens and you will be made clear of how the whole thing can actually exists and most importantly, how did these people actually benefitted from this loophole in the system.

Second Portion Contents

In the second portion, it will be action time.  You will be taught how to get in touch with the people involved and how to get your hands on these free gadgets.  The instructions are pretty clear cut, and most importantly, it does not matter you are young or old, male or female.

Extra Tips

There is one last portion that is pretty simple.  You can give it a try.  It is an extra trick that if applied properly and you are lucky, allows you to get your hands on a free gadget within 7 days.  But for most of the other cases, the normal time will be around 14 days or more.

Anyway, this is my conclusion, if you are interested in learning, just buy the book.  It really opens up your mind on how such deals can come about.  I wish I am living in one of those countries and it will be fun to test it out.  For those lucky people, try it and let me know.  And if you really don’t like the book or find the ideas inside impossible, just drop an email to clickbank for a refund.  I have done it before and you do get your money back.  I do not think I can get such a deal from my local bookstore.  They will just tell you once book is sold, there is no refund.

Unfortunately, Apple never released an iQuiz app on the App Store. But with the release of iPhone OS 3.0, developers have had the chance to access the iPod library and create one of their own. A quick search for “music quiz” in the App Store, and you’ll see a variety of apps fighting to be the next iQuiz. Do any of them seriously contend with the original? Today we’ll look at Music Quiz Frenzy from the developers at Josss.

Upon first launch of Music Quiz Frenzy, you’ll notice that the visuals are somewhat flat yet modern. Much like a flash developed game using the provided button graphics. The visuals are funky, although a bit 1-dimensional. Choose to play Solo or Battle with a friend. Once a game mode is chosen, Music Quiz Frenzy takes a bit of time to load your library. This isn’t a huge time span but we suggest Josss gives a loading status bar so players don’t quit the app out of impatience. Better yet, speed up the load.

Once the library loads, a playlist or the entire library can be selected. You can also decide if the game will be based on Artists, Titles, Cover Art, or Random. Normal game type takes you through a user-determined-number of questions while listening to snippets of a songs. Scoring is based on speed with the quicker answer receiving more points. A time meter is counting down at the top of the screen so be quick about it! Kamikaze game type adds a little more excitement to the mix by threat of elimination with the first mistake.

One aspect that Music Quiz Frenzy does bring to the table, which iQuiz never had, is split-screen dual-player battles. Set the round options as before and duke it out. One downside to this approach is that the owner of the iPhone will most likely be more familiar than the opponent with his/her library.

Overall Music Quiz Frenzy provides a neat personalized music trivia challenge for your iPhone. Does it match the prowess of iQuiz? No. We have yet to find a music trivia app that shines with comparable visuals, sound effects, and bonus challenges of iQuiz. But Music Quiz Frenzy is a fun time-waster. Is it worth the $1.99 price tag? Considering it relies heavily on your own library and cover art without too many other frills, we say a $0.99 price tag is more suitable.

4X4 Jam features a beautifully-rendered 3D environment in which to experience the realistic physics that will often cause your vehicle to tumble “you-know-what” over teakettle when you take an incline at too high a rate of speed. The game offers 3 difficulty settings and 3 racing options: Off-Road Race, Jam, and Free Ride. Off-Road Race and Jam can support racing against up to 3 on-screen opponents. While it can be easy to get lost in the expansive environments, the racing modes feature an indicator arrow, which shows the location of the next gate, as well as the distance to it. The arrow shows the most direct route, which may not always be the best route based on the objects and environmental perils that could impact your trip. Finding the best way is a challenge unto itself. Of course, you can always blow off your racing goals and go where the wind blows, simply enjoying the lay of the land and inevitable crashes and tumbles you’ll take. The game is what you make of it.

The graphics look terrific and the framerate is smooth, even with several 3D vehicles traversing the 3D environment at the same time. The soundtrack offers great engine-roaring and metal carnage sound effects, though vehicle damage is sadly non-existent in the present version. There is no option to play music from your own library at this time, either. Controls come in three flavors, so you can test out different methods to find what works for you. And believe us, with all of the powersliding you’ll be doing, you’re going to want to find the best method by which you can stay the course.

Invictus’ 4X4 Jam gives the player a unique experience, allowing free roaming that you’d be hard pressed to find in another off-road game. This feature alone creates great replayability. Due to its limited current options and sometimes difficult controls, we feel that 4X4 Jam is a solid 4-Dimple racer, with the expectation that the 5th Dimple will be included in an amazing update to a very solid iDevice title.
